This was my favourite shot I ever took of myself.

At that time, I felt like I had nothing. I didn’t matter and that didn’t matter.

After being introduced to Tumblr by a close friend, I found comfort, familiarity & acceptance.

No one knew me, no one put pressure on me, in fact I was supported and celebrated for my personal growth and achievements; by fellow bloggers who shared the same ideologies, instead of being shunned and booed like every other social media site or life situation.

I thanked Tumblr for giving me the opportunity to learn to love myself. I thought “hey, if these people love what they see then why can’t I?” and in the end I did. I fucking blossomed man.

Thank you for giving me the space to explore, share and grow. I wouldn’t be the lady sat here writing this today if I hadn’t got nakey nakey on this site 5years a go. But also, fuck you for taking this away from us. Our way of expressing, sharing and exploring was and is precious to us. It’s just as different as we are, as a collective of bloggers. You gave us a space to nurture and grow, that’s what we did, don’t take it all away.
